A few modelers have used the body to build really accurate '72 Torino street versions, a process now helped by the S+H Torino. MPC nailed the race Torino, I can't think of one thing I'd change on it.

I don't think there were many race versions with the short rear arm chassis, though, and the MPC leaf spring rear is all out to lunch (was never accurate for any subject but the Cyclone, and that is pass/fail)

Most reference that I've found suggests that the Bud Moore cars of the era had the longer Chevy truck arm rear suspension.

Have experimented a bit trying to mate the JoHan kit chassis with the early Monogram GM floorpan and AMT 1/25 GN long arm rig, but not happy with the results so far.
