You can get "rubble" for model armor diorama, which is also cast plaster...

Our LHS ordered such a "rubble" kit for a guy. He came in to pick it up, and supposedly spotted some damage on one of the walls. "Dude, it's rubble!". He didn't want it (after ordering it), but another guy in the store at the same time bought it, and supposedly the first guy got madder at that point...

I need some honest opinions. PIC I want to build a scene of a mountian road so I can take some pics of my models. This is about a 2 hour experiment of just using plaster of paris and getting a feel for making rocks. Opinions.
