The decals are made by Ace. Mikes Decals sells them. *NM*

Sure is a colorful patriotic paint job. Regardless of the wrinkled decals, that's still a great build. Where did you find those decals? I have an Jo-han '72 Torino (molded in orange). That might be a cool build to try.

Off the bench. Another NASCAR build. 1972 Torino driven by Ray Williams A.K.A. "Captain America". Unfortunately, the decals wrinkled after I clear coated the body. I used what I always use. Tamiya Clear TS-13 spray. IDK what went wrong........... *PICS* ..........
I've found that happens if I put a overly "wet" coat on the decals......1st coat should be a fine mist, wait a few hours then another mist coat, wait again, then a slightly heavier coat....still no guarantee tho'....lol. *NM*
I do what I think is the same way you stated. Maybe my "mist" coat is too heavy, or I'm not waiting long enough between coats, or my last coat might be too heavy. I dunno. 🤷♂️ *NM*
Too wet a coat is probably the reason. However, not all decals are the same. Some react differently. Nice job though! *NM*
