The master cylinders for brakes and clutch were leaking, especially the brake one and it was stripping the paint from parts of the firewall and inner fender so I need to scrape the loose stuff off and refinish it and am just looking for something that would work well on vintage metal. Here are some pics of the problem area.

This is how it looked when we first bought Tilly four years ago.

And this is how it looks today. I'm in the process of replacing both cylinders and once it's disassembled I can work on getting it cleaned up and refurbished. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Question for you guys: have any of you tried Behr spray paints? I bought this one to try to match the paint on my '58 TR3A.

- Bob, I've used a couple colors for an interior, not on a body. No problems, but as I'd test before using "just in case." *NM*

    - That's funny because I thought you were painting a model to match your car. Maybe that will be your next project! *NM*
    - If you have a removable part with decent paint, you can get it scanned and have the color matched *NM*
  - Every can is a crap shoot. You can't even count on any of cheap stuff being either enamel, lacquer, or something else. I think they mix and match solvents depending upon what's cheapest that day. *NM*
