If they were available for "civilians", one would think that some Dodge or Chrysler-Plymouth dealer would've ,cough cough, ordered some for 'dealer stock'

Back in my General Dynamics/Fort Worth days ('88-'95), one fellow employee I met owned (from new) a '78 Chevy Nova 2-door with the factory 9C1 police package. He ordered the car new...but he chose the metallic silver paint for the color. GM's silver was an ultimately horrible color, durability-wise (he has the car repainted at least TWICE by 94!).

Hmmm...almost forgot--the Volare/Aspen "Kit Car" option. Probably a 'dead' option package after '78, what with King Richard switching to Chevy and Oldsmobile.
