The show is part of the annual Petunia Festival, which is held over 4th of July weekend, here in town. I had high hopes for a fun outing when I got to the show and saw a bunch of cars already there, with even more cars still rolling in.
I started walking through the cars and was greeted by (and spent time visiting with) some friends that wanted to know why I hadn't been around. All the while, I couldn't help but notice that the sunny skies were rapidly giving way to dark. heavy, clouds.
Sure enough, only about a half hour after I got there, an announcement was made that they were shutting down the show and sending everyone home, as there were thunderstorms popping up in the area.... So much for my fun day at a car show.

The irony of it is, the big "storm" consisted of about two minutes of rain...
Ten minutes later the sun came back out and shined pretty much the rest of the afternoon.
