Very nice. If the real bike's exhaust really looks like that, I'd be looking to replace the pipes by the end of the year...

My dad was the service manager for a Suzuki motorcycle dealer back in the early '80s, after he got out of the Army. The other mechanics there didn't want to be Service Manager, so he stepped up.

He moved on to other shops. One he worked for in north Houston, was owned by a skinflint who didn't believe in spending any money on the shop, but it paid him well. The other, in Kerville, had 'enlightened' owners, but couldn't pay what Dad was worth.

None of the shops in my Dad's resume, are still in business. The Suzuki shop was in Temple, Texas. Back then, Temple had three motorcycle dealerships, all Japanese brands (Kawasaki was "the odd man out", with shops in Waco and Killeen serving the area). Recently, the only motorcycle shop was a Harley-Davidson dealer. A few years ago, a new shop opened, for Indians and Triumphs...owned by the sons of the man who owned the Suzuki shop.
