Two days before April Fools Day I started with some parts I'd never use for a serious build, figuring that I could throw it together quickly. It actually took four days but it was fun to build something that I designed as I built and let me use up leftovers. Examples are those ginormous slicks from the AMT '53 Studebaker (that couldn't be used with the too-small kit wheels) and the A body from a glue bomb that I bought solely for its stock floorboard. Things changed as I built. So, now I've got a Model A Corvette surf rod....that might have fit right in to one of those awful '60s beach party movies.
The link.shows what I started with and more photos of how it ended up.
