For those who have not heard, the museum has moved from Salt Lake City to the Speedway Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska. The grand opening is next month. I was at the Speedway Museum in 2023 and it is easily a place worth visiting more than once. My photographs are at the link.
When Darryl Starbird came to our car show in Toronto many years ago, I showed him a few of my models. He took two of them back for his museum. When Darryl closed his museum a few years ago, Speedway acquired all of the cars and displays, including these models, which I built. :) There are a few more of my builds in the museum in another display. :)
Anyone going? I have a hotel room booked in Lincoln. I am planning my route, driving from Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, eh :) It is about 15 hours driving (2 days) and I am planning to stop at Iowa 80 Truck Stop for a day, so 3 days on the road. There is a truck museum with about 100 trucks and a huge parking lot with a few hundred more, so I should keep busy for a few minutes. :)
As I always do on a road trip, I will bring a model kit along to build in my hotel room in the evenings. Anyone else do this? :)
