Don't have to worry about coal. It was converted from coal to oil during its 2019 restoration. Not sure about the water. *NM*

Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 will be steaming through town tomorrow afternoon... Looking forward to seeing it again!!! *NM*
Enjoy that, Marty! I saw it leaving Cheyenne about 10 days ago.

I've seen it twice in the past (2019 & 2024)... The encounters may only last a few seconds, but the sight of that monstrous machine under full steam is truly awe inspiring. *NM*
True that. I got to drive along side it on I-80 east of Cheyenne about 5 years ago. That was a thrill! Ive also seen 3 other non-running ones as well. Never get tired of seeing them or any other steamer. Also have ridden the Cripple Creek Railroad twice (more inside)
You guys are lucky! We never get to see it in person up this way. *NM*
Saw it in Fort Worth in 2024. Quite an impressive sight. *NM*
I plan to catch it Saturday morning in NW Ohio, and then again on the return trip next month.

Awesome machine! For those curious about the wheel arrangements on those old tea kettles, here's a couple of diagrams from dad's old NMRA manual... *PIC*
