Every year, Canada celebrates the late Queen Victoria with a holiday and a long weekend, the first long weekend of the season and a chance to get away. Every year, racing fans celebrate with a weekend at the track. :) Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, aka, Mosport, hosts a very large group of racers and fans. :) Open wheel, closed wheel, Radical series, Canada Nascar series. Having a media credential gets me closer to the cars and the track...about 2 feet from the cars at speed. :) When you are that close, you have to make sure you are ready. Keep your hat firmly secured, keep your camera ready, keep your eyes on the track as cars spin, bump, throw lots of dirt, you know, like racers in a hurry. :) Here are a few of the photogtaphs that I took this past weekend, fro setting up Thursday to practice, qualifying on Friday and Saturday to the races on Sunday.
