Walt Sr (the owner of the car) wasn't affected, he was free to enter the car provided he use a different driver as Junior was supposedly not allowed back. The disagreement supposedly centered around the car's permanent number which would have changed from 285 (as in the kit) to 385 in keeping with a divisional realignment around that time. You really don't see much of that car anymore in magazine coverage of drag meets after that. Maybe it ran AHRA after that, or at "outlaw" strips?
