  • Great selection as usual. I’ve often wondered why the ’42 De Soto was the only year with hidden headlights. IMHO it was the best looking of all of the Mopars from that time and they only used it once. *NM*
    • After the 36/37 Cord & 37/38 Phantom Corsair both of which had retractable headlights the DeSoto Division became the experimental division of Mopar...they had some unusual design cues plus lots of unusual upholstery colours & designs, but WW2 canned the headlight idea. *NM*
    • I think that I remember seeing a 3d printed 42 DeSoto body on that auction site... It looked a little wonky so Itook a pass. . *NM*
