What I've noticed about 3d printers

Fumes, yeah there are some from the resin printer. It does bother some people. I have a room where I paint and have a seal on the door to contain the paint fumes. So far no complaints from my wife who does complain abou the paint fumes. The filament printer doesn't have any noticeable fumes. Having used both types now I can say that each has its own value. Here's a couple of examples.

First here's a grill I printed. The one on the left is filament the one on the right is resin.

As you can see the filament version is nicely printed and you can see through it. The resin piece is not nearly as well defined and it's a solid piece.

Conversely here's another pic of some wheels I printed.

The top wheel is the filament. The supports from printed are so bad that the wheel is virtually useless. I admit I'm still learning the in's and out's of the slicer so it's likely someone who knows how to use the slicer can be more successful than me.

On the other hand the bottom wheel was printed in resin and while not perfect had I been more careful removing the supports it would have been perfectly usable.
