Picked up a busted-up gluebomb Falcon CONVERTIBLE somewhere years ago. Original builder was trying to build a gasser, I think. Got another convertible PLUS a coupe, when I helped some friends shut down an old hobby store (in business over 50 years!) when the man who owned an ran it had to go into a nursing home (diagnosed with Alzheimers, with a side order of dementia. Oh, and he had no children or a wife. No one local wanted to take over the store, as it needed some work, and a business case couldn't be justified for keeping it going...)
Forgot if it was the hardtop or the convertible, but Ed Junior (who died less than a year after the store closed. His dad started the store) converted the AMT model into a slot car. Also forgot if he swapped a proper slot car chassis under the body, or modified the kit chassis to work on a slot car track (also have his old AMT/SMP '60 Chevy convertible he modified the kit chassis for).
