Seems like a lot of the AMT '70 annuals were. Buick Wildcat, Thunderbird, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, *NM*
The six mentioned are it. AMT did a few series with six cars: "desert racers", "Wild Flower series", and so on *NM*
Methinks that assortment of 6 fills one shipping box with an assortment *NM*
Here's the box art for four of the six kits in the series... *NM* *PIC*
Three were also available with engines and optional parts (Torino, Monte, Chevelle). The Wildcat, T-Bird, and LTD were only sold in this series in 1970 *NM*
Thunderbird and Torino got an engine in '71 - guessing the MC series didn't light the cash register in the manner they were hoping *NM*
There is a "full" '70 Torino Cobra kit, it's pretty much the same as the '71. The LTD-turned-Galaxie actually has the Torino's engine in it...why else would a cop car have a Boss Nine with a four-speed? *NM*
Because that's all the engineers had to work with at the time as a chassis - as told by a particpant
And just cos we are chewing the tabakky, the X-Garage had a "Coffee Car" that would be a fun build... '67 T-Bird 4-door pilot build with a 427 SOHC
Green, but I hope it's not "barf green." *PIC*
Two thumbs up Terry!! *NM*
Marty I have the box for the LTD, I would be glad to send you a picture of it. I don’t have the ability to post here though, are you on Facebook? *NM*
Facebook??? Absolutely not. *NM*
