• Revell Tony Nancy Revell Liner, 1999 issue # 4151......does the aftermarket do the decals?....just started & they are falling apart, not a happy modeller......will Tamitya flat clear help them? or any other suggestions?.......lol. *NM*
  • I should have been clearer...the problem is with the kit decals, they appear very thin....maybe too thin.....& only 27yrs old........lol. *NM*
    • Brush a thin coat of Badger MODELflex Liquid Decal Film on them. Works every time. *NM* *PIC*
      • Thanks Bill, but it doesn't appear available in Oz, nor does the Microscale version....also looks like AMT etc kits & other hobby stuff are not being imported into Oz due to the tariff debarcle...thanks DT......lol. *NM*

    • Hi Terry L - If you are REPLYING to a post you can highlight and delete the repeat of the post in the SUBJECT box and start your reply there. If it gets too long and will not take any more text then finish in the big TEXT box. The indentions show the post you are replying to *NM*
  • Well its 11.55pm & I've just spent an enjoyable(?) 2hrs decalling,threw some Tamiya rattle can gloss clear on them,they held together but I had to PEEL each decal from its backing sheet hoping they didn't fall apart..they didn't, thanks guys for the replies,bed time now,lol. *NM*
    • Next time try using warm/hot tap water on Revell decals. It really helps them to release off the paper. *NM*
      • Yep, I always use warm water, tho' not the 1st time I've had to peel decals from the backing paper, had it happen a few yrs ago, can't recall which kit now, but one way or the other a kit won't beat me......lol. *NM*
