Friday Evening Randomness.... *PICS*
Great stuff. Love that bronze '60 Impala. *NM*
Wow! What an amazing array of photos! *NM*
Nice Kopperkart model *NM*
Thanks Marty! *NM*
I like that vintage T 'C Cab'......kinda my goal in my 1/1 *NM*
That was a Street Rodder Magazine project car, back around 1974-75... I grabbed that shot, in the rain, at the 1975 NSRA, in Memphis, using the little Kodak 110 instamatic camera that I had received, earlier that summer, pas an 8th grade graduation gift from my grandparents.
COOL!!! Was it a project covered in the magazine?? Love to find it!! *NM*
It indeed was, Dave. I seem to recall them fabricating the sheet metal to build it, and if memory serves correctly, it was VW powered. I think Pat Ganahl wrote the articles. *NM*
Thanks Sir! *NM*
You beat me to it, Dave.... I remember my early teenage mind being in awe as I followed along as they built the entire body from raw sheet metal. *NM*
Dave, speaking of 1:1s... how's that Mustang coming along? *NM*
79 Mustang Pace car?????
Is your email in your profile correct? *NM*
yes *NM*
Email sent *NM*
Did not get anything...... *NM*
Every email I send you, it seems you never receive it. Maybe in your junk or spam file? *NM*
I just got a email from someone else on the forum......I did check junk....no luck *NM*
I received your email and I replied back. Interesting how mine won't reach you, but your email to me does. I just don't get it. Hopefully my reply makes it to your inbox. *NM*
Still nothing...added you to contacts 'safe' list.....not in junk either....thx *NM*
Sorry to hear that Dave. Those '79 Pace Cars are my favorite Fox. *NM*
Dang, that’s too bad. I was fascinated by your pace car find when you first posted about it. Best of luck. *NM*
Thanks for posting the pics *NM*
That green 'survivor' model is way cool! *NM*
Fantastic stuff... *NM*
I remember the Green Mamba jet car from when I was a kid. The only thing I can’t remember is where I saw it. I think it might have been in a set of drag race or hot rod trading cards that I had, but can’t recall for sure. Or maybe I saw it run at the local track…
The more I think about it, it must have been the cards! :D *NM*
Doug Rose and his Green Mamba jet were regular fixtures each year, at the World Series of Drag Racing during the 70s and 80s.... While I've never been a huge fan of jet cars, he always put on a good show for the crowd. *NM*
For an impressionable kid, the noise and huge flames from the jet cars always captivated me. Though now as an adult with ‘more life experience’ *ahem* I’m less impressed by them. I was surprised to see this one, though, as it sparked very old memories. *NM*
Thanks Marty! *NM*
I like the "tuned by EAR" on the yellow '55 Chevy. *NM*
I always enjoy seeing the "Iron Man" '57 Chevy. *NM*
Anyone from AMT see this? How about re-tooling the Falcon Ranchero into a 2 door wagon? It would sell I'm sure! Great pictures Marty! Great assortment. *NM*
I'd be in for a couple! *NM*
Hmmm...wouldn't a Falcon sedan delivery sell better? *LINK* *PIC*
JF (?) has a '61 SD body that is the berries for an AMT Ranchero
Gee whiz, and I have a number of '64-5 Falcons in my stash already...
Gonna need some pix of that. Wonder if it is possible to bash the Trumpeter Ranchero upper with the rest of the AMT body? *NM*
AMT Ranchero roof will work. Modelhaus did it... *NM*
Which reminds me of an UNBUILT AMT '64 Falcon CONVERTIBLE kit I passed up a few years ago at an old car swap meet. $50...but someone cut the doors and trunklid open!!
I probably would have bought it if nothing else was touched. Then keep an eye open for another body, or a rebuildable one *NM*
Woulda hopped on that, hope the kit butcher throws a body on fleabay *NM*
