Sorry for responding so late but I've been gone most of the day. Thanks everybody for the kind words always appreciate it.
I started with the "California Corvette" Tom Daniels... I've built the boxart car and me being a Corvette guy I just loved the body and design. With that in mind I wanted to build something from the mid to late 70's and early 80's when these customs were a daily occurrence just cruising around with nowhere to be but cruising, just cars in general.
Some of body mods I made to cover that era. I wasn't real crazy about the kit tail lights and I had put 66-67 GTO tail lights in but I really screwed them up and I couldn't bring myself to use a complete kit for the light so I replaced them with 69 Camaro which were in that era, Not crazy about them but better than the kit. I replace the louvered hood with a 74 Corvette hood, Covered the louvered roof panel, eliminated the fender side louvers and had to fill the rear deck because of the seem that the rear louvers sat in. Kept the wheels only because of the era being built. I'd build another one if I could find one with a few different changes.
Thanks for looking, and don't worry Oliver hasn't any front claws so he can jump up anytime he wants.
