There was a Chevy dealer in the Midwest that did the same thing. Those cars sat in a field and were auctioned off a few years ago...

The dealer had been in business during WWII, and remembered how hard it was to get a car during the war. What he wasn't thinking about was, had there been another world war, it would have been very different from the second one. Finding a car probably wouldn't have been at the top of everyone's to-do list for those who would have been left...
