    • I can probably guess, but I do sometimes wonder why there seemed to be a lot of duplication of subject matter back then. Makes it kind of confusing with reissues today, like who made this kit, which one was better, etc.
      • There wasn't licensing back then. If someone wanted to make a kit, they did it *NM*
        • It’s bad that I am having a hard time remembering a world where licensing and branding didn’t dominate everything, but that makes sense as an explanation. *NM*
        • There would still be rights/usage for identifiable people and properties... but there was a long spell when having your model on a shelf was considered free advertising
