I can probably guess, but I do sometimes wonder why there seemed to be a lot of duplication of subject matter back then. Makes it kind of confusing with reissues today, like who made this kit, which one was better, etc.

Were licensing agreements open ended back then? Like, sign with Ford and you can produce a model of any of our vehicles? Otherwise, one would think that Ford would say that their licensing for Mustang has already been awarded to another model company, etc. However, then maybe Ford would be happy to have lots of model companies selling Mustang kits to kids, like free advertising almost. I suppose we still see some of it today, with rival companies each trying to get a piece of the popular subject pie.
