Just when I thought that I had no more 1939 Chevrolet ideas to explore I got another one after looking at the other leftover sedan delivery body. On this one I removed the side panels and will ultimately install windows from the inside. I also opened up the optional sun roof.
Like all the other bodies for this model it will be flat black with decals that I haven't yet decided on. It is designed to fit the existing two chassis I already have built. While the kit comes with an opening rear door I glued mine shut as it really doesn't fit all that well and I don't like working features on my models.
Black Ash is 5 body (three coupes and two sedan deliveries) and 2 chassis project with all units being interchangeable based on parts from the Revell (originally Monogram) 1939 Chevrolet kits. Very few kits allow for the kind of interchangeability that this kit has and that has allowed this whole crazy project.
