MPC 1/25 Petty RR find today - question:

Landed a builder (well, a bit shy of that, tbh) with a perfect unpainted body and no glue residue save for decals applied, tho, no biggie.

Two chassis in the box - both assembled although one looks partially dis-assembled.

Question for the experts is... were the front and rear chassis parts common across all the firstgen MPC NASCAR kits? Were the rear wheelwells specific to each body (GTO, Cyclone, RR, etc.) or were they common? I seem to recall the parts were revised for 'Southern Stocker' releases, and not returned to original form.

Also - knowing the MPC chassis is pretty well out to lunch for a true torsion bar replica, is the JR Salvino's Charger any better? If not, what chassis WOULD be a good foundation for a presentable replica of the #43?
