If you bash both the '72s and the S+H Torino you can get a pretty good replica depending on your inclination

Have a pic on my other computer of the S+H floor pan dropped into the JoHan frame, and it looks all the business. MPC's body is straight cash money, I thought I read someplace the engineers showed up at MIS with cameras and tape measures, that's why that first series of GNs were so much better than the typical 'decals and headlight blanks' in kits issued prior to the era.

Front clip for the JoHan Torino is a standard Banjo rear steer, but can be nicely dressed with later GN parts; stock rear in the JoHan is the short arm Ford with a Dana 60 (!) but looks as if swapping a later GN long arm would not be rocket surgery. IIRC, and Tom Mooty would need to leap in, I think Bud's first Torinos and the rollers from H-M in late '71 - early '72 were short arm Galaxie, so maybe driopping in a 9" would do it.

Later, they were switched. Early T-Bird GN kits (both RC and Monogram) will have swanky 351C engines; if you are building the Bobby Unser hillclimb car, you will want the Boss 429 and c-6 (!)

BTW, I'd love to know what said "Missing" that was not MLRC. Motor City did an outstanding Torino coupe (still have mine in the build queue) and may be offering under Renaissance City (Jeff's son and D-I-L.) Missing Link does a gorgeous '72 - '73 Montego FB and a '74 Cougar notch. If you have the slightest interest in any, reach out to Kevin, the modeler who made those masters ain't making no more, so if any of the bodies take a hit in mold setup, that's it for the run.
