I finally finished the interior and installed it into the body shell after I added the NOS bottle assembly. Then I painted the headlight lenses with Revell chroming spray and added them to the grille which was taken from the Super Stock version of the base kit. When I was prepping the bumper/grille I had already removed the turn signals. I also added a license plate and front Mopar plate. The body is now at the 97% completion point.
The big news has been the completion of Chassis 1 and Chassis 3. Chassis 3 is the simplest and is a lowrider style based on the chassis from the Jo-Han 1969 Road Runner kit and lowering blocks from some other old Jo-Han kit to allow me to be able to slam it down low. It was painted flat black for simplicity. The wheels and tires are from the Revell (orginally Monogram) 1939 Chevrolet kit in their Lowriders series. Chassis 1 is based on the kit chassis but in a 1970s style. The rear end is jacked up on shackles from the eternal AMT 1972 Chevrolet Nova kit while the front tires are the stock ones from the base kit and the slicks are from the S/S kit. Front wheels are from the AMT 1965 Chevelle wagon kit and the rear steelies are just from my stash also painted with Revell chroming spray. While the chassis is also flat black I intentionally painted the headers white and the glasspacks (from the Monogram 1939 Chevy) red for contrast.
Chassis 2 and 4 are still in progress. All four chassis are distinctly different.
This is one of my favorite current builds and I have really enjoyed making each chassis unique.
Remains is a curbside build based on the different releases of the Lindberg (now AMT) 1964 Dodge 330 kits with a lot of parts swapping from my stash plus various resin aftermarket pieces.
So, how does Tim Boyd fit into all this? Well a number of years ago Tim wrote a story (I think it appeared in SAE) about the Jo-Han 1964 Dodge kit which was the only kit of that subject matter that existed at that time. I can't remember the whole article but I think it may have involved a restoration. That article ended up making me appreciate the 1964 Dodge and I always intended to build one although I had no specific plan. Just the potential subject matter. If anybody here has a scan of that article that they would share it would be very welcome.

Thanks for everybody for taking the time to check out this project installment.
