I love the box art for the Hemi Hustler mid engine drag car (based on the Hemi Under Glass) but wanted to put my own spin on it. When Round2 announced the new tool 65 Cuda kit I knew what i had to do. The day my LHS got them in I picked mine up and started hacking. Moved the rear wheel openings forward and opened up the front wheel openings towards the front to facilitate moving the front axle forward slightly. Pictured on top is the HUG body for comparison.

I used the generic frame and interior from the AWB Chevy II kit, and extended the back sheetmetal with Evergreen sheet. I also extended the rear package shelf with Evergreen to accommodate the bigger window.

Plymouth product gotta have a HEMI in it, right. So I took the very nicely tooled Hemi out of the 63 Nova wagon from a few years ago. Made my own injection setup so i could use the Round2 metal injector stacks. Also used a Morgan Automotive Detail magneto.

Paint is Tamiya clear blue over white. Molotow chrome details.
