I think if you look at the stock number on the box, the R2 "Retro Deluxe" is the version with the higher number - which should be the version that had some gates opened for annual parts
In Response To: Crime Dog built a nice '65 Fairlane Modified Stocker ! But he forgot to mention that the kit has 2 complete engines (289 and '390?). Plaim racing interior, dash, Chassis with no exhaust molded in, Tow Bar, under hood intake for duel carbs. Also there was 2 versions of this ()

There were a few classes 'innaday' where the small block would be appropriate (and even a few with the inline 6)

As long as you are not being too picky, substituting some PPP wheels and tires of more appropriate dimension and a little scratchbuilding get you a pretty nice looking race car.
