I like it! Around here they usually didn’t run the big cars but there were some low buck racers built from them. Lots more “run what ya brung” back in those days. So not out of the realm of possibility.

One thing I like about building models of old short track cars is that you literally can’t be proven wrong. There were so many rules variations, from track to track, region to region, pretty much anything and everything has been run somewhere, sometime. Let your imagination, and the plethora of old pics available on the net, take you anywhere you want to go. Extra points for crude homemade construction and rough condition!
