...which probably dates back to the original 1960 annual kit. Some of those Modified Stocker kits are more ambitious than the rest. The Chevelle was converted from the original AWB funny car, itself a modification of the Craftsman series kit. The chassis might be the Craftsman piece but the wheelbase is short (rear wheels shifted forward) probably to work with the already altered body.
Back in the day, the Falcon would probably have used a fullsize Ford frame, anything from '54 or so through '64. The '57-'64 chassis was used extensively in oval track racing, but the '54-'56 front suspension was pretty tough too. Checker cabs used some of the Ford front suspension parts, probably right to the end.
