My big accomplishment this year was moving and setting up the basement. Oh no, not even close to being finished. The buildbench is a mess, my spray booth is in the outdoor garden shed, I am just organizing all my paints, adhesives, etc., etc., etc.. I have done some building but not much. For my birthday, Julie bought me a slot car set and I set it up right away. It will be a test track (not big enough to race) I have added some details, some cars have been driven and lots more to do. Here are a few shots of the track and the background. Rather than scenery, I opted for assorted car pictures, posters, decals and crests from my trips.

This is my favourite car..Cox Chaparral 2E with the iso-fulcrum chassis. It needs a windscreen and interior and I have them packed away somewhere. I got this from an estate sale in 2023 along with some other stuff...

At the first car race I attended in 1965, the track was lined with old tires, some cut in half, to use as barriers. In 1967, I did a display at the Montreal car show of a race scene and cut up all my spare Firestone Supreme tires for barriers. I still had them, so I added them to one corner of the track, a reminder of the old days...
