Sorry, I'm not quite clear on your dilemma. After parts 2 & 3 are installed. As shown in diagram, stock height metal axle goes in above (C) location. For lowered suspension metal axle goes in lower (D) position...INSTRUCTION EXCERPT INSIDE:::.

Any tips on assembling the metal axle/plastic front suspension on the old-tool AMT 57 Chevy? It looks like I'm going to have to fiddle with the axle mounts on the wheels to get it to fit *NM*
