Does the '71-3 Mustang have a longer wheelbase than the '69-70, and if so, do the kits reflect the change?

Gotta ask, and I don't know off the top of my head.
For example, the '71-6 Impala had a longer wheelbase than the '69-'70, but MPC used the same chassis in their kits. I've got MPCs from most of those years, and they are the same.

AMT's Mach Won...is this an old AMT kit or does it owe its linage to the Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang F/c of 20 yrs ago?....the M/W appears to have the same grille choices & SOHC that the P/L kit had? *NM*

      - '70 was 108", '71 was 109". Not enough to worry about in scale, even for a promo, back then *NM*
      - Doubt it - as Mark notes it is an eyelash in scale
    - If it's a straight up reissue, it doesn't look like it was included... *NM* *PIC*
      - One thing I missed - the instructions show a body that has much more of a funny car look to it
