Primary difference is that AMT removed the f/r roll pans from the chassis plate and added them to the parts tree
In Response To: Old AMT kit from 69/70. *NM* ()

This freed up the balance of the '70 "Blue Crescent" to become the '71-73 AMT annual, and with some later changes, the Warren Tope #31 and subsequent road racing releases.

That's how the '71-up got the wrong engine, an issue never rectified by AMT. MPC repeated the mistake with a similar engineering strategy, although select issues of the kit included the planned 1:1 , but never released Boss 429 engine.

Fairly sure a certain caster has a mint '70 kit interior to pour into the silicone, which would let you pirate the body from the FC and then plotz a cool street- or road-race Mach 1 out of your '"Road Race" 73 for the remainder.

I did not get a good look at the parts breakdown of the soon-to-be released F/C, but, is the stock Mach 1 hood with the shaker still in the kit?

Really looking forward to getting my hands on one, soon!
