Any Beatles fans here like me?
I like them. *NM*
They obviously influenced music. More importantly for me, I graduated 60 years ago.🎓 *NM*
You're making me feel REALLY old! *NM*
Ditto. *NM*
I have about a dozen original singles, 5 or 6 EP's and 8 LP's........just a passing interest to me..........lol.. *NM*
Never heard of an EP. Is an EP a 45rpm? If I'm not mistaken, a LP is a 33rpm (technically a 33 1/3). *NM*
EP, I think meant "Extended Play". *NM*
EPs were 7" or 10" records, containing more than one song, but less songs than a (full album) 12" record. The 7" were 45 RPM, the 10" were 33.3 RPM. 7" held 5 minutes per side, 10" held 15 minuites per side. *NM*
LPs have enough 'room' for almost 30 minutes of music, but some British Beatles LPs were 'split up' for American pressings, in order to get amother album outot them/it.
All of them were, through 1966. Capitol divided the original Parlophone LPs and padded them with A/B sides of singles...
An EP usually had 2 songs on each side, they are the same size as a single, 45rpm speed. *NM*
I remember watching them on Ed Sullivan 60 years ago tomorrow *NM*
I saw them premier on TV on The Ed Sullivan Show when I was a little kid. *NM*
My daughters and i were watching “A Hard Days’s Night” just tonight…
Did you guys in the US ever get the 1/2hr Beatles cartoon show around 1964/-66?....each episode had a full song at the start & finish with the words on the screen..........was one of my favourite shows back then..........lol. *NM*
Wow! That brought back memories. Yes we did have those cartoons. Really liked them. “ Yeah,Yeah,Yeah” *NM*
I had three older sisters.... Yeah, I recall sitting on the living room floor, watching those with them. *NM*
Its funny what we remember sometimes....I can remember being in 4th class, I would have been 10 & having a Beatles song in my head, they were a part of my childhood that I fondly recall. *NM*
