      • I have never run across this before and I have looked at a lot of model car related YouTube videos - model kit reviews, building, painting, model car (and other type models) shows, etc. What the heck? *NM*
        • Okay, I signed in, read their reasons, and watched the video. I see now that he is holding model car wheel and cutting the back section off by holding it with the finger tips on his left hand and proceeding to use a Dremel with a spinning cutter disk, then a router bit, then
          • I would suggest using his method for determining the depth/cut line, marking all the wheels the same, holding the wheel with needle nose pliers with the rim flange out over the edge of a table, and using the razor saw to cut partially through, rotate some, cut more, repeat
            • Bill, I wouldn't recommend the video for a youngster new to modeling because of the method used. I have mine own way to modify wheel width but the steps vary depending on the desired outcome. *NM*
              • You'd never see me holding something in my hand that close to a dremel (or any other power tool). Always use a vice, chuck, or some other holding device. *NM*
                • I'm surprised they didn't yank the video entirely because of that. Dumb to illustrate that to anyone as an example of how to do something *NM*
