Yup! That be it. I've never built that critter, and the Galaxie S/D is way outta my league(costly). *NM*

I see Monogram & Revell have some new releases coming out this fall, also. The '39 Cheby Sedan Delivery(Monogram) kinda tripped my trigger. *NM*

Anyone swap a 235 stovebolt into this kit - thinking a '53-4 Monogram Corvette would be a good donor *NM*
Or the '53 Belair. *NM*
The Bel Air has some speed equipment including a really nice header. With it or the 'Vette mill, you'll have to lop off that cast-iron Powerglide though *NM*
Why does the Powerglide have to go? *NM*
The cast iron one had no performance potential, wouldn't stand up behind anything but a stock engine. Lots of power loss: "slip and slide with Powerglide" was the knock on it back in the day *NM*
Now, it's the reference standard automatic in drag racing
There were 2 Powerslides, the early cast iron one that was good as a boat anchor which has been kitted & the later(62? on) alloy one which provided the basis for the drag version as far as I know due to it having a small converter & lower weight. *NM*
Correct - it may live forever! Cheap and bulletproof
Also, back then they were cheap to overhaul. *NM*
Hits forehead with palm... of course....
I'm working on just such a swap right now. Still test fitting the engine. *NM*
