Miscellaneous Mopar Madness *PICS*
Bill, you've got an incredible garage! *NM*
Thanks Bill!! *NM*
Those Imperials are stunning, Bill. *NM*
Wow, that '59 Plymouth...! *NM*
Glad someone noticed the four '59 Mopars I posted for 5/9 day! *NM*
apparently those Revell '62 buildups were part of the treasure trove Atlantis rec'd from Revell and were not new test shots as we presumed. Last I heard, Peter and his team were still going through hundreds more sets of tooling and were not really sure if those tools...
Good info, Tim. I won't dump my Newport... yet. *NM*
I'll still keep hoping, but like the rest of 'life', nothing is for certain. Either way is fine, as I already have more stuff than I can possibly build, and for now Round2 is still reviving some cool stuff from the old dayz... *NM*
Liking those MPC reissues for sure *NM*
Probably gone like JoHan tooling it was a bright dream for awhile. *NM*
If Revell had test shots, the tooling likely still exists. Strange they let it sit in the mid-Seventies while they dragged out those multiple-piece body kits though *NM*
The detail in the multi-piece bodies was better, IMO.
The Revell bodies are pretty decent; the rest of the parts aren't "quite there"...
I remember reading that exact same thing here as well, IIRC from someone “in the know”… which is why I have been holding out hope that Atlantis might have obtained those molds and would consider putting them in production again. *NM*
I'm hoping Atlantis can re-issue those 1962 MOPARS from Revell soon. *NM*
Huzzah! *NM*
As was viamently reminded when I expressed excitement at the prospect of seeing the Dart 440 again, back when it was first revealed that Atlantis had the Revell Mopar tooling...
I'd be super happy to see the Dodge Revellion F/C again. Wasn't there at least one other kit in that group? *NM*
IIRC, the 4 door was modified bur not the 2 door, this doesn't include Imperial, Newport,Valiant and Lancer *NM*
Did Revell do a two door Dart??? *NM*
No, Revell only made a four-door ‘62 Dart. Jo-Han made the two-door. *NM*
Thanks... That's what I thought. Phil's post was causing me question if I really knew what I thought I knew. *NM*
Don't wanna drop anything out of skool... but...
A Revellion wouldn't be a bad outcome. I also recall seeing a sneek peek at test shots of other ex-Revell '62 Mopars teased in an Atlantis video last year.
Revellion is the only kit with the correct front axle for Mooneyes... but buckle up. The kits are a few clicks south of JoHan in detail
IMHO a Revellion is cool enough as is. To convert one back to stock is more effort than I would be willing to go through, especially when there are probably still some originals (and JoHans) out there in the collector market. Cool thought exercise, though.
Still hoarding my vintage Motor City '62 - poured from my original that I sold off several years ago
Do it!!! :D *NM*
What year is this Imperial? It is a very crisp and elegant luxury car design imo even though I am historically a GM fan.. *2 PICS*
I think its a 1973. *NM*
Yes, a '73 *NM* *PIC*
Both images are of a 1972, not 1973 Imprerial. The 1973s were almost identical but had the "big rubber blocks" 5mph front/2.5 mph rear pads added to meet federal legistlation that year....TB *NM*
Thanks for the info. *NM*
I LIKE all of them.... But for some reason that white 70 Dart really sticks out for me. *NM*
