Just information, but I read somewhere that Salvinos has their new tooling made in China, but shipped to the USA for production. I don’t know that for a fact, but “I read it on the internet”. Take it for what it’s worth.

Also, for the sake of conversation, China’s low production costs go beyond simple cheap labour. To my understanding, they also had very lax/nonexistent health and safety regulations, and little to no environmental regulations, so if one of your workers gets hurt or ill because of conditions in the factory, you fire them and put someone else in their place. Dumping chemicals into the local water stream is not a problem. Lots of cost savings there. At least that’s how it used to be, not sure if that has improved.

So when people complain about the high cost of having things made in the US or Canada, it’s because we take care of our people and our environment. There is cost associated with that, but often people just blindly look at the bottom line, because they want ‘cheap stuff’…
