I bought it from a friend, the original owner, with over 100K miles. Needless to say, it was tired. The 4-speed was worn out so I replaced it with a 4-cylinder T-5 trans I acquired from a local company that parted out 87-93 Mustangs. The engine and turbo both needed to be rebuilt. Went to same company and obtained everything I needed to swap in a 5.0 HO engine with a T-5. I traded the 4-cyl T-5 for an 8,8 rear end. The swap was pretty straightforward. I had to solve some electrical glitches. IT was a lot of fun to drive. I did the swap in 1995. From the outside the only telltale was the 5.0 LX exhaust tips. Oh, and the sound.
