  • Thinking about it...bought decals earlier today. Nobody makes them for this specific project, just bought appropriate lettering decals (in a smaller scale) that will be close enough for horseshoes/hand grenades *NM*
    • Hot Rod did stories about these for a few years in the early '60s... some pretty wild rides! *NM*
      • ABC's Wide World of Sports used to feature those events occasionally. I remember some of those hot rod trucks. *NM*
        • Car and Driver did a story on the NY fire truck competition several decades ago. I remember one competition truck was based on a C2 Corvette. *NM*
  • In case you don't know, it's a fire department Drill Team rig (see link inside) ranging from trucks to drag cars (including and I can't find the link anymore, one that used a fiberglass Willys body or front half *NM* *LINK*
    • Fire Drill Teams and Competition are unique to New York State. Had them in the "neck of the woods" where I grew up. In my youth attended many competitions. *NM*
      • Just realized there may be a smattering of these competitions in other states, but few. *NM*
