The mini-est car in Mt collection *PIC*
My collection *NM*
This was my first car until another driver fell asleep and ran a red light at a blind intersection I had just entered.
Neat little model. Where did you get the GT lettering? *NM*
It's a decal from MoFoBow. It had the black hood and hatch stripes, rocker moldings and both styles of Vega emblems plus the GT emblems. I have a set of Cosworth decals as well if I can get to it someday. *NM*
Wowee! If I've seen that, I forgot about it. Sweet build! I taught myself to drive a stick in that car. I don't know if you ever knew that. You left it home one day and I ground gears all the way to Robo car wash to apply for a job. Good times! *NM*
Re: The mini-est car in Mt collection.. WOW! Looks great *NM*
Real nice! *NM*
That is really well done! Looks like a mini Z28
No Cosworth Vega kit. I'm not sure if it was done as a diecast, particularly in 1/18th scale
No, there is no kit but I'll probably use some mashup cobbled up wheels or 3D printed or something. Tom is working on one, but I'll leave the posting to him. *NM*
Your idea sound like a cool and feasible idea. I like it! *NM*
Canuck 3D does the Cosworth Vega engine and wheels as well as the standard 4 spoke Vega/Monza wheels , all in 1/25. *NM*
And excellent quality. I have down in the stash with the MPC kit. Ray's decals to finish it off *NM*
Where did the 4 lugs GT style wheels come from? *NM*
Vaguely recall they look like the wheels from a Revell BRE Datsun 240Z *PIC*
That seems correct to me. I probably have those wheels somewhere. In 1:1 are they 4-spoke American 200S wheels, or did Datsun make them? *NM*
They look like they're American Racing " Libre" wheels. They look correct for the 1/1 BRE 510. , , The BRE 240Z kit looks like it has the "LeMans" wheels in it which would be closer to the Vega/Monza 4 spokes. *NM* *PIC*
,,. But, yea, a "Libre" is basically a 4 spoke 200. *NM*
The wheels on the Vega are likely from the 510 sedan kit. I have a set that are probably from the Z that are two different widths (never had the kit, just found the wheels by themselves) *NM*
They are indeed from the BRE Datsun with center caps cut from '72 C/10 pickup wheel covers. I don't specifically recall where the trim rings are from. kit *NM*
