While I was reworking my model room I found a number of things I had pretty much forgotten.
This is AMT's 49 Ford from the 70's. It is the first replica stock model I built....and at the time was my best work. I really liked the model and it opened up what I built. Before this it was all showrods and drag cars. Nothing wrong with that but this widened the subjects I built.
About 5 years later it rolled off my shelf, yes I built models that rolled. It busted up pretty bad....I was not happy....found all the parts and put them in a zip lock.
Now that my work room is ready I decided to do a few one or two day projects to get back in the swing. I did not think about a 'PRE' photo but did grab my camera here. I'll post the finished up rebuild Friday.
Many of my early models were tossed as I improved, I hate I did that. So I am happy I kept this one.
Thanks for looking.
