I purchased this 1961 Lincoln from Spotlight Hobbies back in 2017. It was a clean build as purchased; chrome was in good shape for 50+ years old. There was some wear on the rear bumper. The body was painted flat gold, interior a light beige, and no paint on the chassis. The custom wire wheels were installed fitted, they had begun to melt due to contact with the tires.
Disassembly was easy, little glue had been used. The body sat in Super Clean for at least a week before the paint was removed. I obtained some resin Modelhaus 62 Lincoln promo wheels to replace the originals. The hubs were removed from the resin wheels, and custom wheelbacks from a 65 Lincoln were modified to fit. The tires are AMT parts pack wide whites. The body was repainted Lincoln Regency Turquoise (MCW 6138 - aka Ford Garden Turquoise). The interior is the same color with a flat clear overcoat. The rear bumper was sprayed with Revell Chrom to cover the bare spot.
I did make one modification to the body; can you spot what it is?
