I sent Dave an email last week, and he never responded. I'm a bit concerned. *NM*

Dave Darby is the expert, I believe he has done a couple conversions using the entire fender/frame set from the AMT 29 A roadster to replace the unit in the MPC Woody/sedan/pickup. DAVE! Where are you? *NM*

Are the wheels in the (ex-) MPC '32 Ford 'panel' the same as the brief 'Street Rod' issue of the MPC '28 Ford Pickup?
Nope! The '28 wheels are totally different...
Cha ching on the woody suggestion - and if you land on a front axle solution that is readily available and fairly sturdy (!) that would be even better.
That kit has the steerable front end - nothing can be done with that one. I was thinking about a Revell front axle, with different backing plates to replace the stock mechanical brake units...
I wonder if someone could whip up something that could be 3d printed for that drop your looking for. *NM*
I'm not crazy about resin (3D is essentially resin too) for anything that has to support weight. Over time it will sag, or if too brittle will eventually break *NM*
I was wondering if there was something like the beam in Ala Kart (original) that would conceal a wire axle

I hope he's doing well, they've had a rough 2024, to say the least. *NM*
