While in HS and Junior College, I worked at a full line Ford dealership from 1965 to 1970. The dealer's brother worked for Ernst Holmes Company in TN, and we sold lots of Ford chassied Holmes Wreckers. The Moebius kit is a close replica of the 4 ton capacity Holmes 440 wrecker body. Of the 5 that I've started, one is a '66 F-350 2WD "west coast" low side, base Holmes 440. Another one is a '66 F-350 4X4 high side 440. The third one is a '68 F-350 2wd high side 440, while the fourth will be '72 Ford F-350 4X4 "west coast" low side 440. The fifth one in a 1975 Dodge D-350 high side 440. The final one currently in the early planning stage will '70-'72 GMC or Chevy Holmes 440 as well. Not sure if it will be 2 or 4 wheel drive yet. FYI- for my west coast, low side versions, I built my own body side panels without the optional storage cabinets that are on the Moebius kit. I'm saving those for the future.
