Good info…thanks. *NM*

MPC was still doing other Chevy promos in '74, mainly Corvettes. AMT exited that business after '72, and the original (pre-Ertl) AMT never went back to promos *NM*

I also saw that the AMT '76 Chevy Nova Pro Street is coming out. I haven't seen it in the Product Spotlight by Round2. Any idea when it might be out? Yes, I verified what it is exactly from TB's Fotki album from the Detroit show. *NM*
Now about the chassis in this kit. Would you say it's more of a drag car than a show car? Also, what wheels/tires come with it? *PIC*
Chassis is a stocker with tubs for larger rear wheels, but the body is meh - roof is too low and flat
As, Ragtop stated, the chassis is basically just that of a back-halved car, so it would be okay for a sportsman/bracket racer or show car.....
Wheels are actually Cragar Super Tricks (15 bolts around the outside; Centerlines had more rivets). They're still in the kit. The MPC Nova body will work with this chassis/interior with some tweaks *NM*
Re: The MPC Nova body will work with this chassis. i started a conversion years ago, using the body and powertrain from the MPC Pontiac Ventura. I should finish it. *NM*
Do you have a leftover Ventura? (grins) *NM*
Re: Wheels are actually Cragar Super Tricks (15 bolts around the outside; Centerlines had more rivets)..... Oh well... I guess my memories from 1975 must have gotten a bit foggy. LOL *NM*
I built one from the AMT/Ertl release that had everyone up in arms a few years ago as it showed the stock version...... *PIC*
Nice build! Would you happen to have more pics of this one?
I don't have, it's in storage somewhere, I moved 3 years ago and alot of my stuff just didn't get unpacked, pretty sure that's one of them. *NM*
For some reason, AMT couldn’t get the body right. Winged it instead of using factory blueprints? Their ‘74 update to the Camaro was similar. Same design team? *NM*
No promo deal for either car. That, and AMT was starting to "offshore" some of their design and tooling work. They weren't in great shape at the time, but nobody outside the company knew that *NM*
AMT was off-shoring design work back then? Wow. No promo deal for the MPC ‘74 Camaro or ‘75 Ventura which eventually became the Nova, but they looked accurate. *NM*
