Several of you have asked for more on the new 1/25th scale unlimited Hydro kits. Here's a buildup from Steve Perry at the NNL Motor City yesterday. He's preparing a Kit Review for an upcoming issue of Fine Scale, too....TB *PIC*

I rec'd 2 of the V12 Griggs Hardware version, one I gave to a mate, mine had an extra sprue tho' missing one, DA Graphics have sent a replacement.....the V12 kit also has the turbine engine sound thing, tho' an Allison sound track would be better, lol. *NM*
Hope the success of these would lead to earlier hydros at some point... Pay n Pack, Miss Bardahl, Atlas Van Lines, etc...

Kits are made by DA Graphics, I got my 2 from them tho the Hydroplane Museum also has them but don't post international, try dagraphics.com . *NM*
The Griggs # 3 Turbinator is the only version that has the V12 Allison, all the others have the turbine engine but are the same basic hull, etc, AFAIK all kits also come with an acrylic paint & glue set too. *NM*
Tim, idea what issue of Fine Scale Modeller would have the Hydroplane kit review, having a hard time trying to find cockpit colours from here in Oz.....lol. *NM*
Andy, that decision is way beyond my paygrade, as they say. My guess (mine only, no input from the magazine), would be sometime first half 2025....TB *NM*
