There is a staggering amount of talent displayed on the board here... and on others. The time, energy, research and scholarship are incredible. This is equally applicable to the IPMS types building ships, armor, aircraft, etc.
Also, knowing the timelines of many of us, that final taxiway is going to be part of the journey sooner or later.
If you are lucky, you family shares your passion and wants your collection and builts. (Mine could care less, I think they'd push it all into a dumpster after me.)
It would be a tradgedy to the hobby if the work was disposed or lost, versus having a specific assignment to the Museum or other worthy venue for your work. I can't believe it would be all that difficult to make that assignment as part of estate planning.
