In Response To: Early Hemis also used to be used for emergency generators in large buildings like hospitals. A former neighbor worked for a Honeywell division that serviced gensets, and remarked that some old buildings still had Hemis for backup, or did in the early part of his career. *PIC* ()

Tried to get my mitts on the hemi, but Dad was a hard pass - my plan/hope as a 16 year old was to jam it into the '53 Ford pickup that languished behind a Washtenaw Cty barn for years.

Details? Phaaaa! I'm the idea guy.

Both engines ran on a small gas well that had been discovered under the property, nice work to get them running on dinosaur pharts ...
